BMW i4 Electric car Price, Interior and Release Date

Latest Update: BMW has unveiled its first all-electric sedan, the i4, in India.

BMW i4 Launch: The electric sedan is expected to be launched on May 26.

BMW i4 Price: The i4 is expected to be priced from Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.

BMW i4 Variants: BMW will initially offer only the eDrive 40 (RWD) variant in India and may follow it up with the M50 (AWD) later.

BMW i4 Electric Motor, Range and Battery Pack: The BMW sedan gets two electric powertrain options. The standard eDrive 40 variant features a single electric motor (344PS/430Nm) which drives the rear wheels only, while the top of the line M50 trim gets a dual electric motor (551PS/795Nm), putting down power on all the wheels. Both variants get a 83.9kWh battery pack with a WLTP certified range of 590km for the eDrive 40 and 521km for the M50.

BMW i4 Charging: A 200kW fast charger will charge the sedan’s battery from 0 to 80 percent in around 30 minutes. The 11kW home wall box charger will take around 8.5 hours for a full charge.

BMW i4 Features: It is packed with a 14.9-inch touchscreen system which gets BMW’s latest iDrive 8 infotainment software. A 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, multi-zone climate control and wireless charging are also on offer.

BMW i4 Rivals: The electric sedan will take on the Tesla Model 3.
