Latest Update: Export-spec Volkswagen Virtus has been spotted testing In India.

Volkswagen Virtus Price: It will likely be priced from Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.

Volkswagen Virtus Price: The carmaker will offer it in two broad trims: Dynamic Line and Performance Line.

Volkswagen Virtus Engine and Transmission: The VW Virtus will get the same powertrains options as the Skoda Slavia: a 1-litre turbo-petrol (115PS/178Nm) and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (150PS/250Nm) unit. While the former is coupled with a standard 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed automatic, the bigger 1.5-litre unit is mated to a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic) only.

The 1.5-litre unit features Active Cylinder Deactivation technology, which shuts down two cylinders under low-stress conditions for improved fuel economy.

Volkswagen Virtus Features: Its features list comprises a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, push-button start/stop, and a fully digital driver’s display. Apart from these, it also features a single-pane sunroof, connected car tech, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, and rain-sensing wipers.

Volkswagen Virtus Safety: Safety features onboard will include up to six airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and rear parking sensors.

Volkswagen Virtus Rivals: The Virtus will go up against other compact sedans like the Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, and the Skoda Slavia.
